We do this trekking tour every day.

This trek is designed for people who stay only a few days in Chiang Mai and do not have time to take part in our 3 days treks.

Included are: Elephant riding 1h Bamboo rafting 1h Jungle walks of 2h, 1.5h Doi Inthanon, the highest peak of Thailand (2565m) Overnight stay at a Karen hilltribe village Visit of a local market Visit of Meo hilltribe village Shan (Tai Yai) hilltribe village

Itinerary

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. : Pick-up from hotel or guest-house by pick-up truck.

We will leave Chiang Mai on highway 108 past the airport to Sanphathong, an about 40 min. drive. We will make a stop at a local market. The guide will buy the food for the trek and you have time to buy some things you might need on the trek.

After an about 1h drive to the Wachiratarn waterfalls in the Doi Inthanon National Park. Here we will make the mid-day break and and have lunch for about 1 hour.

After the break we will drive about 30 min. to the Twin Royal Pagodas and then to the 2565 m high peak of Doi Inthanon. Then we will drive another 45 min to the end of the road at a Meo hilltribe village, where we start walking. For about 2 hours the guide will lead you through a wonderful evergreen jungle landscape, through bamboo forests, lianas, rhododendrons and lots of other vegetation. Also there are lots of beautiful birds.

The walk will lead us to a Karen hilltribe village, where we will stay overnight.

The next morning, after breakfast we will walk for about 1.5 hours to a jungle waterfall. From there a pick-up truck will bring us to Mae Mud village, a village of the Shan tribe (Tai Yai). There we will have lunch.

After lunch we will go bamboo rafting on the Mae Wang Stream for about 1 hour. The rafts are made of bamboo stems fit together with ropes.

Then will make an adventurous elephant ride through the jungle for about 1 hour. After the elephant ride we will drive back to Chiang Mai where we will arrive at about 17:00 h - 17:30 h.
